2014 AVCA NAIA MEN'S ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

 

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2014) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce its fifth annual AVCA Men's NAIA All-America Teams.

 

This year's team honors 10 student-athletes: five seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and two freshmen. This class of distinguished individuals includes three outside hitters, two middle blockers, two setters, two right side hitters, and one libero.

 

Concordia University Irvine, Grand View University and Park University all had two individuals honored, while Lourdes University, Missouri Baptist University, Missouri Valley College, and Clarke University landed one on the list. Earning repeat All-American nods were Rob Cordero (Park), Robert Esser (Missouri Baptist), Mark Metrakos (Concordia University Irvine), and Tyler Wills (Clarke).

 

The selections were made by the AVCA NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Committee: chairperson Donan Cruz (Grand View University); Tim Johnson (Hope International University); Dan Mathews (Clarke University); Greg Reitz (Lourdes College) and John Yehling (Missouri Baptist University).
