COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the 22nd annual AVCA All-America teams for Division II women's volleyball. The awards will be presented Dec. 4, 2002, at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight Tournament banquet at Alumni Banquet Hall on the West Texas A&M University campus. The NCAA Division II Elite Eight Tournaments begins on Dec. 5 with quarterfinal matches being played at WTAMU's Events Center.

The AVCA expanded its All-America program this season to include a 12-member third-team and an AVCA National Freshman of the Year.

The 2002 All-America selections were made by the AVCA Division II All-America Committee: Kim Sudbeck Marcil, Augustana College (S.D.), chairperson; Jim Callender, Western New Mexico University; Ginger Crissman-Ashley, Catawba; Laurie Lokash, Slippery Rock University; Peggy Martin, Central Missouri State University; Robin Salters, University of New Haven; Deanne Scanlon, Grand Valley State University; and Kim Vinson, Cameron University.
