In the upset of the Nittany Lions, Simpson had 48 assists in leading Wisconsin to a .330 hitting percentage. In addition, she added three kills, three digs and four total blocks in the three-game sweep of Penn State. Simpson followed that up by leading her team to another three-game sweep, this time over Ohio State. In that match, she had 43 assists in helping her team to a .312 hitting percentage. She also chipped in four kills, eight digs and six total blocks in the win. For the week, Simpson averaged 15.2 assists per game in leading her team to a .321 hitting percentage and a new national ranking of #10.
