Jamie Baumstark, a 5-10 junior setter for Southeast Missouri State University (14-14, 10-4 Ohio Valley), has been chosen the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week after leading the Redhawks to two league victories. Baumstark led the Redhawks to a .263 team attack percentage for the week while averaging 13.62 assists, 2.88 points, 1.62 kills, 1.00 blocks, 3.62 digs and 0.62 aces per game. She led SEMO to a .317 team attack percentage against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 2 as she tallied 42 assists, three kills, five blocks and nine digs. Baumstark turned in a triple-double of 67 assists, 10 kills and 20 digs versus Tennessee Tech on Nov. 5. She added four aces and three blocks in the five-game match as the Redhawks hit .232 as a team. Baumstark averages 10.86 assists, 2.75 points, 1.89 kills, 0.56 blocks, 2.51 digs and 0.56 aces per game. She is the first Redhawk player to receive the national honor. The Southeast Missouri head coach is Renata Nowacki.
