Kelly-Anne Billingy, a 6-3 sophomore outside hitter for Marshall University (19-5, 11-1 Conference USA), has been chosen the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week after leading the Thundering Herd to a pair of conference sweeps. Billingy hit .507 for the week while averaging 8.25 points, 6.83 kills, 1.50 blocks, 3.67 digs and 0.33 aces per game. She tallied 20 kills on .515 hitting while adding 11 digs, two blocks and two aces versus Tulsa. Billingy chipped in 21 kills on a .500 attack percentage while adding 11 digs and seven blocks versus SMU. She now has eight double-doubles this season and is a three-time Conference USA Player of the Week. Billingy increased her season attack percentage to .348 while bringing her averages to 5.65 kills, 0.65 blocks, 2.48 digs and 0.29 aces per game. She is the first Thundering Herd player to receive the national honor. The Marshall head coach is Mitch Jacobs.
