Kristen Andre, a 6-1 middle blocker for the University of Tennessee (3-0, 0-0 SEC), has been chosen the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week for leading the Lady Vols to three wins at the Loyola Marymount Four Points Sheraton Volleyball Classic. Andre helped Tennessee to a win against then-18th-ranked Loyola Marymount in straight games. She notched 13 kills, one ace, two digs, four total blocks and hit .435. Andre tallied 13 kills, one ace, two digs and three block assists against Villanova. Andre added 17 kills with two errors on 28 attempts to hit .536 versus Duke. Andre contributed two digs and three blocks assists against the Blue Devils. She averaged 4.30 kills, 0.20 aces, 0.60 digs, 1.00 blocks, 5.05 points and hit .473 on the week. The Tennessee head coach is Rob Patrick.
