Amanda Schiff, a 6-1 junior middle blocker for Western Kentucky University (24-6, 10-2 Sun Belt), has been chosen the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week. She led the Lady Toppers to a pair of sweeps last weekend to clinch their fourth-consecutive Sun Belt Conference East Division title. Schiff hit .397 for the week on 68 swings with 31 kills on just four hitting errors. She averaged 5.17 kills, 1.67 blocks, 1.50 digs and 0.17 aces per game. Schiff produced 17 kills, four blocks and seven digs to go with a .412 hitting percentage versus Arkansas-Little Rock on Nov. 7. She tacked on 14 kills and six blocks the next night against Arkansas State to extend WKU's winning streak to seven matches. Schiff's weekly performance increased her season averages to 3.64 kills, 1.08 blocks and 0.74 digs per game. Her .367 hitting percentage ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference. Schiff now has over 900 career kills following her 17-kill match against UALR. The Western Kentucky University head coach is Travis Hudson.
