Greichaly Cepero, a 6-2 senior setter for fourth-ranked University of Nebraska (28-1), has been chosen the AVCA/Sports Imports Division I National Player of the Week. Cepero paced the Huskers to two three-game victories over nationally ranked teams as Nebraska closed out the regular season with an undefeated Big 12 record (20-0). She just missed a triple-double against then-19th-ranked Missouri on Nov. 27 with nine kills, 40 assists and nine digs. Cepero led Nebraska to a .345 team attack percentage in the match, including an individual .818 hitting percentage. She tallied 35 assists, eight digs and eight blocks against 22nd-ranked Kansas State while leading the Huskers to a .331 team hitting percentage. For the week, Cepero averaged 2.50 kills, 1.83 blocks, 2.83 digs and 0.33 aces per game while leading Nebraska to a .338 team attack percentage. She currently ranks among the top 10 Huskers all-time in assists, total blocks, solo blocks and block assists.
