2010 AVCA NAIA Men's All-America Team
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 26, 2010) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is pleased to announce its inaugural NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Team.
This year's team honors 10 student-athletes: four seniors, three juniors and three sophomores. Three of the lauded individuals are outside hitters, while two setters, two middle blockers, two right side hitters and one libero also earn recognition for the first time.
California Baptist University, Cardinal Stritch University, Missouri Baptist University and St. Ambrose University each have two athletes honored on the inaugural squad, while the other two recipients hail from Hope International University and Park University.
The selections were made by the AVCA NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Committee: Bill Gleeson (St. Ambrose University), Paul Lawson (Alverno College), Ryan McGuyre (California Baptist University), Rick Mischka (Park University), David Schmidlin (Cardinal Stritch University) and John Yehling (Missouri Baptist University).
