LEXINGTON, Ky. (December 11, 2015) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce that Providence University College Head Women's Volleyball Coach Scott Masteron has been selected as the 2015 AVCA NCCAA National Coach of the Year, while Indiana Wesleyan University Assistant Coach Marci Novak has been tabbed as the 2015 AVCA NCCAA National Assistant Coach of the Year.

The AVCA will formally present both coaches their awards at the 2015 Jostens Coaches Honors Luncheon in Omaha, NE on Thursday, December 17. The luncheon is held in conjunction with the 2015 AVCA Convention.


Scott Masterson's Fast Facts
Fifth season as the head women's volleyball coach
Currently holds an overall record of 28-6
Finished the NCCAA Division II Tournament as the second-ranked team
In five years he has five NCCAA Regional Championships
Won the NCCAA Division II Coach of the Year
Outside hitter Shayna Staerk and right side LaRae Pennter earned NCCAA All-American honors
Placed in the top-3 nationally in attack percentage (30.88%), kills per set (11.76) and assists per set (10.54)
