Aaron Almario, a 6-7 junior middle hitter for Rivier University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week.  Almario recorded double-digit kills in all four matches he appeared in out of five Raider victories last week to cement their No. 1 seed in the GNAC Tournament.  He never hit below .529 in any match, recording hitting percentages of .667, .565 and .789 and tallying a total 53 kills in those four matches and 12 blocks.  His best match of the week came against Wentworth at home, where the California native nailed 15 of those kills hitting at a .789 clip.  For the week, he averaged 4.42 kills and one block per set with a .635 hitting percentage.  This is the 12th time a Rivier player has been named a Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week, with the most recent honor coming from Shane Spellman on March 26th earlier this year.  The Raiders are coached by Craig Kolek.
