Brittany Snider, a senior outside hitter for Ashland University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  Snider used her strong play on both offense and defense to lead the Eagles to four victories that ended with a Lock Haven Invitational Championship.  It didn't take her much time to get acclimated, starting the invitational with a 21-kill and 17-dig performance in their four-set win over Dominican College.  After victories over West Virginia Wesleyan and Queens College, Snider saved her best match for last against host Lock Haven.  When the dust settled, the Ohio native had 25 kills and 20 digs while hitting .444.  For the week, she averaged nearly five kills and four digs per set to give Ashland a current record of 7-1.   This marks the third time an Eagle has earned Sports Imports/AVCA Division II Player of the Week honors, the last coming back on November 2, 2009 when a younger Brittany Snider took home the honor.  Ashland is coached by Cass Dixon.
