Caroline Dupont, a freshman middle hitter for No. 7 Washington University-St. Louis, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. It was a big weekend for the Bears, winning all three of their matches, with two of them coming over AVCA nationally ranked teams.  After defeating Ohio Northern, Dupont saved her best performances for No. 21 Pacific Lutheran and No. 3 Wittenberg.  Against PLU, the freshman nailed 18 kills, hit .593 and finished the match with seven blocks.  Not to think it was a fluke, she put up similar numbers in the upset win over the Tigers with 17 kills and a .586 hitting percentage.  For her efforts, the Kansas native was named to the WU/ASICS National Invitational All-Tournament-Team.  This is the 25th time a student-athlete from Washington-St. Louis has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, with the most recent coming from Lauren Budde on October 4, 2011.  The Bears are coached by Luke Young.
