| Photo courtesy Kean Athletics | Ed Jedziniak, a 6-4 sophomore right side for Kean University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week. Jedziniak led the Cougars to a perfect 3-0 record last week with all of the victories coming against Skyline Conference rivals. His best match of the week came against Sage College, where the New Jersey native smashed 12 kills on .750 hitting. In the following two matches against Yeshiva and NYU-Poly, he tallied a combined 12 kills and five blocks while recording hitting percentages of .833 and .455, respectively. For the week, Jedziniak finished well above his season averages of 2.29 K/S (4.0), hitting percentage .311 (.667) and P/S 2.69 (4.58). This is the first ever Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week honor for a Kean athlete. The Cougars are coached by Don Perkins.
