| Photo courtesy UCI Athletics | Kevin Tille, a 6-6 junior outside hitter for No. 2 UC Irvine, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division I-II National Player of the Week. The Anteaters are coming off a first round MPSF Tournament victory over No. 5 UCLA in four sets. He smashed 20 kills and hit .432, including the match winner after UCLA scored two straight to narrow the lead to 24-23. They will face off against Southern California in the MPSF Semifinal, and it will mark the second time this year these two teams will face off as the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the country. This is the 20th time a UCI men's volleyball player has been named a Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week, and the second time this season after he won it the week of January 31st. The Anteaters are coached by John Speraw.
