Megan Miller, a sophomore middle blocker for Stevenson University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. Miller had a big week helping the Mustangs knock off two top-25 ranked teams in the AVCA Coaches Poll as part of a four-win week. After defeating Johns Hopkins (receiving votes) on their home court, Stevenson matched up with No. 9 SUNY Cortland. Against the Red Dragons, she had a career-high 16 kills while hitting .542 in the five-set thriller. Stevenson went on to defeat Grove City before playing No. 19 Eastern, where she nailed 15 kills and hit at an even higher percentage of .565. She also tied her career-high in blocks with five after recording the same amount in the previous match. This is the first time an athlete from Stevenson has earned the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week award. The Mustangs are coached by Dave Trumbo.
