Meredith Crawford, a sophomore outside hitter for The University of Texas at Dallas, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.  The Comets come off a week that saw them win all four matches and improve their overall record to 10-5 and a perfect 4-0 in conference.  After hitting .571 in the first victory over Mississippi College, Crawford hit an even more astounding .586 later that day against UT Tyler.  In that match she also tallied 19 kills, four assists, two aces and six digs.  Over the next two wins over Le Tourneau and East Texas Baptist, the Texas native combined for 19 kills, 18 digs and three blocks.  This is the fifth time a student-athlete from UT-Dallas has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, with the most recent coming from Halea Williams on September 25, 2012.  The Comets are coached by Marci Sanders.
