Hancock had a big week running the offense while also having tremendous success on defense, tallying double-digit dig totals in both of the Nittany Lions' victories. In their first match of the weekend against No. 10 Minnesota, Hancock had 46 assists, 15 digs and tied her career-high with an astounding seven aces. She wasn't finished a couple of days later against Big Ten foe Wisconsin, recording another double-double with 40 assists and 11 digs with an additional two aces to boot. The Big Ten Setter of the Week dished out a total of 86 assists (12.29 assists per set), smashed nine aces (1.29), and was second on the team in digs with 26 (3.71). This marks the ninth time a student-athlete from Penn State has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week, with the most recent honor going to Megan Hodge the week of November 3, 2009. The Nittany Lions are coached by Russ Rose.
