Parker Kalmbach, a 6-7 redshirt-junior opposite for then-No. 3 Pepperdine, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division I-II National Player of the Week. Despite the Waves playing in just one match last week, it was an important one for the Waves against then-No. 5 USC.  Kalmbach recorded just the fourth triple-double in the MPSF since 2007 with 11 kills, 13 digs (career-high) and 10 blocks (tied career-high) in their four-set win over the Trojans.  The victory catapulted Pepperdine to a No. 1 ranking in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, and marks the fourth different school to earn that top spot in as many polls this season.  This is the 25th time in program history a Pepperdine student-athlete has garnered Sports Imports/Player of the Week honors, with the most recent coming from Cory Riecks on February 22, 2010.  The Waves are coached by Marv Dunphy.
