Paul Kuhn, a 6-7 junior outside hitter for No. 3 Juniata, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week. The Eagles are off to a 5-0 start to the 2014 campaign after going a perfect 3-0 last weekend. Kuhn played in two-of-three matches against No. 14 Elmira and No. 13 Kean in their home tri-match tournament. He started off the weekend with a seven-kill, four-dig and two-block performance in the sweep of the Soaring Eagles before sitting against Hunter. Kuhn was able to improve upon his offensive numbers the following day against the Cougars, this time doubling up his kill total to 14 with a .440 hitting percentage. For the week he hit .372 averaging 3.50 kills, 4.16 points and 1.16 digs per set. This is the 22nd time in program history a Juniata student-athlete has garnered Sports Imports/Player of the Week honors, with the most recent coming from Joe Bortak on February 19, 2013. The Eagles are coached by Kevin Moore.
