Saitaua Iosia, a sophomore outside hitter for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week.  She had an unbelievable week leading the Hawks to three victories and a SFC Terrier Invitational Championship.  She recorded a double-double in all three matches, starting off with 21 kills and 14 digs hitting .341 against NJIT.  The Long Beach, California native continued her strong play against host St. Francis, nailing another 19 kills and recording another 16 digs.  Iosia saved her best performance of the invitational for her final match against Radford, hitting .408 tallying 24 kills and 17 digs.  For the week, she had a .358 hitting percentage averaging 5.33 kills and nearly four digs per set.  Iosia currently leads the Hawks with both 64 kills and 47 digs.  This honor marks the second time she has received the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week award after winning it last year the week of November 8th. The Hawks are coached by Don Metil.
