Stephanie Sheehan, a junior outside hitter for Merrimack College, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  It was a solid all-around week for Sheehan, leading her Warriors to two victories as they kicked off play in the Northeast-10 Conference.  In their first match one week ago against Assumption, the junior tallied 12 kills, eight digs, hit .435 and nailed four aces in the sweep.  Four days later against Southern Connecticut, she continued her dominance with another 19 kills on .361 hitting to go along with her nine digs and three blocks.  The outside hitter finished the week averaging 5.17 kills and 2.83 digs per set while hitting .390.  Sheehan is the first player in program history to be named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week.  The Warriors are coached by TJ Hajjar.
