Caitlin Faulk

Head Coach, Broward College
Fort Lauderdale, FL
NJCAA Division I

Caitlin Faulk has been the head coach of Broward College of the NJCAA since 2007. The year before Faulk took the reigns of the Seahawks program, they were mired with a decade of losing seasons; now, they own back-to-back winning campaigns, including a trip to the Southern Conference finals in 2007.

"I have committed myself to becoming a student of the game," says Faulk. "I have drawn influence from the great coaches I was fortunate enough to have, as well as those I have only observed and studied. In addition to the statistical/technical aspect of the game, I greatly enjoy the psychological aspect in building a team."

In addition to her collegiate coaching duties, Faulk was the owner and director of Thunder Elite Volleyball Club in Broward County, Fla., from 2003, until August 2008, when Thunder Elite merged with Florida Ocean B Volleyball Club, where she is now Assistant Director. During her tenure at Thunder Elite, 100% of alumni received scholarships to various collegiate institutions. She now looks forward to the opportunity to move up the coaching ladder.

"I am at an interesting turning point in my coaching career," she said.  "I am very anxious to experience the next level in coaching. In the near future, I would love the opportunity to be an assistant coach to a veteran of the sport at the collegiate level.  Beyond that, as long as I am successfully passing along the excitement and passion for the sport to athletes, I will be fulfilled."
