Head Coach, North Park University
NCAA Division III
Coley Pawlikowski has been head coach of North Park University for three years, accumulating more wins in the past two seasons (32) than the school's previous four combined (29). She has also coached at Kane County Juniors Volleyball Club for nine seasons, winning the Asics Junior National Volleyball Championship in the 18s division in 2006, 2007 & 2008.
Pawlikowski knew even before her playing days at Northern Illinois University that she wanted to become a coach; after all, it is the family business. Her mother is a former player and current club director, and her father is a high school and club volleyball coach. "Volleyball has been more than a hobby for me, but a way of life," said Pawlikowski. "Having two great parental mentors, it is in my blood to follow in their footsteps."
Along with the wisdom she gained from her parents, Pawlikowski had the opportunity to learn from one of the game's legends, working camps at Penn State University and soaking up knowledge from Nittany Lions' coach and AVCA Hall of Fame member Russ Rose. She hopes to translate her education into many years of success.
"To me, it is not about what Division you are at or where you are at; it is how successful you are, where you are," Pawlikowski said. "Amazing things can and do happen at all levels of our sport; my goal is to start and maintain that wherever I am."
