Head Coach, Northwest College
NJCAA Division I
Flavia Siqueira has served two seasons as the head women's volleyball coach at Northwest College. In her two years at the helm of the program, Siqueira has chalked up a 68-20 overall record. After securing an NJCAA Region IX runner-up finish in 2008, Siqueira and the Trappers took another step forward in 2009, capturing the Region IX title and finishing in eleventh place at the NJCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.
Before landing at Northwest, Siqueira coached at the College of the Southwest and took the Mustangs to a third-place finish in the Red River Conference and top-10 finish in their region. She was a standout player in Brazil before being recruited in 2000 by Western Nebraska Community College. During her two years there, the Cougars placed fourth and then third in the nation. In 2002, she transferred to the University of Mary, where she helped the team to a national top-10 ranking for the first time in the school's history.
Siqueira chose coaching as her profession because of her passion for the sport. "In 2005, when I decided to stop playing volleyball due to family matters, I knew that I had to be involved in the sport somehow," she said. "Being able to teach volleyball is great, and I enjoy watching the progression of the student-athletes on and off and court."
