Head Coach, Medaille College
NCAA Division III
Jake Beiter has been at the helm of the Medaille College women's volleyball team for two years, and took a team that won just eight matches a year ago, and led them to a program-best 19 wins in 2009. For his efforts, Beiter earned the 2009 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year.
In addition to his duties as head women's coach, Beiter has been part of the men's volleyball team at Medaille since 2003. He was a two-time AVCA All-American during his playing career from 2003-2007, then remained in the program as an assistant coach beginning in 2008. He helped lead the 2009 Maverick squad to a top-15 ranking in the AVCA Men's Division III Coaches Top 15 Poll, and a sixth consecutive appearance in the North East Conference Volleyball Association postseason tournament.
"After finishing my playing career at Medaille College in 2003, I had built up over four years of coaching experience at a Junior National level, and have always had a passion for the sport," said Beiter. "Being a positive influence on an athlete's personal growth is the most rewarding part of coaching for me," he said.
