Graduate Assistant Coach, Angelo State University
San Angelo, TX
NCAA Division II
Jason Bibler has been graduate assistant coach at Angelo State University for the past two seasons. Bibler has helped the ‘Belles to 39 wins during that time, including their first appearance in the semifinals of the Lone Star Conference tournament in five years.
Bibler has also made his mark in high school and club volleyball, as head coach at Evangelical Christian Academy, as well as coaching at Pikes Peak Volleyball Club and Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club. His Colorado Juniors teams finished in sixth place or better in the Rocky Mountain Region each season, his 18's team qualified for Junior Olympics in 2008, and 30 athletes he has coached at the high school and club level have committed to, or are currently playing, college volleyball.
Even with his success at the club and high school level, Bibler knew that coaching at the collegiate level is where he wanted to be. "I wanted to be a part of students' lives and have a positive impact on their development as people," said Bibler. "When the opportunity arose for me to do that through coaching volleyball, I really jumped at it. I thought that I could teach them the little bit I knew about volleyball and be a positive influence."
