J.T. Wenger

Assistant Coach, UCLA (Men)

Los Angeles, CA

NCAA Division I-II

J.T. Wenger is in his fourth season as assistant coach for the UCLA men's volleyball program and third season with Pacific Palisades volleyball club. He also served as assistant coach for the USA Men's Junior National Team in 2009. After being a four-year athlete for UCLA, Wenger now helps the program by breaking down videotape, tracking the players' academic progress and managing the Bruins' apparel needs as the assistant coach.

Wenger started developing his coaching career before graduating from UCLA in 2009 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Education. "I officially began coaching in 2002, but my experience recruiting, creating line-ups, and developing team-specific strategy began early on in my playing career," said Wagner. "I have always enjoyed trying to create a team dynamic that produces a maximum output of potential. This is the challenge that has driven my interest over my career."

Aside from coaching the Bruins, Wegner has also expanded his career coaching the Pacific Palisade VBC, placing teams in both first place and third place finishes in the open category. He has also coached for the USA HP Pipeline Select A group and assisted in leading the Marymount High School women to a CIF Division III state championship.
