Assistant Coach, Iowa Western Community College
Council Bluffs, IA
NJCAA Division I
Kyle Gamble has been an assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College for two years, under the guidance of his father, Terry Gamble, who has over 700 wins at the program. The Reivers have won 112 matches in the two seasons that Kyle Gamble has been an assistant, finishing in the top ten in NJCAA Division I both seasons.
"I have grown up around the sport," Gamble said. "I have been fascinated with the game from a very young age. My goals are to learn and get better everyday that I am in the gym. I hope to work my way up the coaching ladder to eventually be the head coach at a college program."
Gamble has also been a club volleyball coach since 2005. At Top Ten Volleyball Club (Council Bluffs, Iowa), he was head coach of the girls' 16-and-under team that won the Silver Division at the Iowa Regional Tournament in 2007.
"I am very honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Thirty Under 30 award. It is a very special thing to be recognized by a group of other coaches. I just want to say thank you to the AVCA for even considering me for this award let alone giving me this award."
