1996 AVCA JC/CC Player
of the Year

- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is pleased to announce
that Spokane Falls Community College's Jenni Roselli has been selected
the 1996 JC/CC National Player of the Year.
This season Roselli, a sophomore middle
blocker/outside hitter, led the Sasquatch to second place in the Northwest
Athletic Association of Community Colleges championship. She posted
588 kills, 253 blocks, 425 digs, 66 aces and a .210 hitting percentage
in 140 games played this season. She earned all-tournament honors
at the All-Star INWC and All-Star SWOCC Crossover tournaments and was the
tournament MVP at the Walla Walla Crossover.
For her career, Roselli tallied 944 kills,
400 blocks, 615 digs and a .203 hitting percentage. Roselli has also
been a success in the classroom, posting a 3.14 GPA.
The formal presentation of her award will
be made Dec. 20, 1996, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the AVCA Player of the Year/All-America
brunch beginning at 9:30 a.m. The brunch, which will take place at
the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel, is held in conjunction with the 1996 AVCA
National Convention.
