2005 AVCA Division II Regional/National Ranked Teams List
TO: AVCA Division II Members
FR: Kelly Stumph, AVCA Coordinator of Awards
RE: Nationally and regionally ranked teams for postseason award nominations
Included with this letter is the exclusive list of regionally and nationally
ranked teams to be used for the compilation of statistics for your nominees for
AVCA All-Region and All-America Team selections.
For AVCA All-Region and All-America Awards purposes, a regionally ranked team is
defined as any institution included in any NCAA regional ranking (on the top 10)
during the 2005 ranking period; a nationally ranked team is defined as any team
ranked in the 2005 AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll for any three weeks,
excluding the preseason poll.
When you complete the statistics section (page 2) of the on-line nomination
process you should only use the teams that are listed on the following page for
requirements No. 2 and No. 3 below. You must submit each player’s statistics
against:
1) All teams on your schedule;
2) regionally ranked teams only (from all regions, not just your own); and,
3) nationally ranked teams only.
**Use only the teams listed on the following page when calculating statistics
against regionally and nationally ranked teams; do not add teams as new polls
and/or rankings are released.
If you do not have a 2005 AVCA Awards Packet you may obtain one from the forms
and packets section of AVCA Online (http://www.avca.org) in PDF format.
Please remember that all postseason nominations must be submitted 1.) on-line
AND 2.) match-by-match statistical reports via fax or e-mail by 10 p.m. EST,
Monday, Nov. 14.
