Megan Koster, a junior outside hitter for Emporia State
University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National
Player of the Week for her steady, consistent play in helping lead the Lady
Hornets to wins over two nationally ranked opponents last week. In ESU's
sweep of then-No. 23 Rockhurst, Koster scored her first double-double of the
week tallying 13 kills and 10 digs. She added two block assists in the win
over the Hawks. Koster continued her sound play in ESU's sweep of then-No.
12 Pittsburg State, notching her second double-double of the week,
registering a career high 18 kills and adding 20 digs. She added one ace
and two block assists in the match. For the week, Koster attacked at a .348
clip, while averaging 5.17 kills, 5.0 digs and 5.67 points per game. Koster
is the first player from Emporia State to be named Sports Imports/AVCA
Division II National Player of the Week. The Lady Hornets are coached by
