Templin has record-breaking weekend for Randolph

Oct. 21 - Jordan Templin, a senior outside hitter for Randolph College, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. It was a blistering week for Templin, leading the WildCats to a pair of victories thanks to her strong offensive and defensive play. In their first match against Guilford, Templin nailed 23 kills while narrowly missing a double-double with nine digs. However, it was her match against Emory & Henry that proved to be record-breaking. She recorded a single-match program record 29 kills hitting .622 en route to her also winning the ODAC Player of the Week. Templin already holds the school's single-season record for kills. Randolph's 17 victories are the most since 1997.

This is the first time a Randolph College student-athlete has garnered Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week honors. The WildCats are coached by Kara Matthews.
