Brak Records two Double-Doubles in Strong Week

Sept. 23 - Allie Brak, a senior outside hitter for Truman State University, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. It was a big week for the Bulldogs, going a perfect 3-0 in their second week of conference play. The Great Lakes Valley Conference Baden Offensive Player of the Week tallied double-digit kills with a pair of double-doubles, narrowly missing a third by just one dig. That came against McKendree where in addition to her nine digs, recorded 15 kills on .286 hitting with three blocks. Later that day, her squad pulled off the upset win by defeating then-No. 20 West Texas A&M with 12 kills, 11 digs and tied her career-high with six blocks. The following day she notched her 49th career double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs in the sweep over Illinois Springfield.

This is the fifth time Truman State has garnered Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week honors, with this being Brak's second after winning it on October 9, 2012. The Bulldogs are coached by Ben Briney.
