PARKVILLE, Mo.  After leading his team to the MAMVIC East Conference Tournament title, outside hitter Dan Dowjotas is this weeks NAIA Player of the Week.


Parks Rob Cordero is the Setter of the Week and Warner Universitys Nick Brutus earned the NAIA Libero of the Week award.


Dowjotas and the Fighting Bees will host next weeks NAIA Mens Volleyball National Invitational Tournament Championship from April 14-16 in Davenport, Iowa.


Dowjotas averaged 5.875 kills per game in three matches last week and had a hitting percentage of .316. He was also stellar on the defensive side of the net averaging 2.25 digs per set.


St. Ambrose won the MAMVIC East conference tourney in a three set victory over Warner University.


Cordero, helped lead the Pirates to the championship match of the MAMVIC West conference tournament on Saturday, and the Pirates eventually lost to No. 1 seeded Lindenwood in four sets.


Cordero played terrific in Parks three matches in the tournament, averaging 12.75 assists per game and had 1.75 digs per game.
