Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Men's Player of the Week

(photo courtesy of Medaille Athletics) | Kelly tallies over 60 kills in four Medaille victories February 7th - Erin Kelly, a 6-4 junior middle blocker for No. 10 Medaille College, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division III National Player of the Week. The Mavericks went 4-1 last week including a win over then-No.5 Nazareth College. In their five-set victory over the Golden Flyers, Kelly nailed 12 kills and hit .450 in addition to two aces and three digs. In the following four matches, the New York native accumulated another 50 kills and 11 digs. Against Mt. St. Joseph and Stevenson in back-to-back matches, he racked up 32 kills and hit a combined average of .626. For the week, he averaged 3.44 kills per set with an attack percentage of .487. This is the third time a Medaille men's volleyball player has been named a Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week, with the most recent coming the week of January 24th of last year when Nick Johnson garnered the award.
