General Criteria
Criteria are not considered in any particular order or rank. Any or all of the criterion may be considered by the committee at the time of selection.
- Win-loss record;
- Strength of schedule based upon the following factors:
- Head to head competition;
- Records against common opponents;
- Results against teams already selected and other teams under consideration;
- Records against Division I, II, III opponents;
- Home and away records.
- Cumulative poll rankings.
Seeding of Teams

Eligibility
- All teams currently participating in NCAA Division III volleyball are eligible for consideration, including teams with provisional status;
- Only student-athletes eligible under NCAA bylaws 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 may compete in the Molten Division III Men's Invitational Volleyball Championship;
- Coach must be an AVCA member for team to be eligible for consideration.
