Welcome to AVCA Affiliations, the official newsletter of the AVCA High School Affiliate Partner Program. This monthly newsletter provides AVCA High School Affiliates with a forum for exchange and gives all AVCA high school and club coaches an opportunity to learn what's happening in other states.

Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the St. Pete Times Forum
In Tampa, Florida held in conjunction with the AVCA Annual Convention.
Tickets to the match are $7.25 and are available exclusively through St. Pete Times Forum and Ticketmaster.

New Competition Volleyball Color Options
The NFHS has announced a rule change concerning the approved colors for volleyballs. Schools will have the option to continue to use an all-white volleyball or use a multi-color-paneled volleyball (with maximum combination of three colors) for the 2010-2011 season. Click here for more.
NFHS to Provide Fundamentals of Coaching Volleyball Course
The Fundamentals of Coaching Volleyball course was developed in partnership with USA Volleyball (USAV). The course is endorsed by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase @ AVCA Annual Convention
The AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase at the AVCA Annual Convention is a recruiting event developed for coaches attending that AVCA Convention. The AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase @ AVCA Convention will be held from 9 am - Noon on Sunday, December 20 in the West Hall of the Tampa Convention Center. 2010 Thirty Under 30 Awards Nominations Open
The AVCA is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Thirty Under 30 Awards. In its second year, this award was created to honor thrity of the up-and-coming volleyball coaches under 30 years old in the sport at all levels of the game. Nominees must be younger than 30 years old in 2010. To begin a nomination, click here. The AVCA will accept online nominations through Friday, October 2 @ 5:00 pm (ET).
Recruit your Middle School Coaches!
The AVCA is now offering membership to middle school volleyball coaches for $35! AVCA Member High School coaches can sign up the middle school coaches of their feeder schools at this significantly reduced membership rate!
