Welcome to AVCA Affiliations, the official newsletter of the AVCA High School Affiliate Partner Program. This monthly newsletter provides AVCA High School Affiliates with a forum for exchange and gives all AVCA high school and club coaches an opportunity to learn what's happening in other states.

2010 AVCA Spring Girls' Talent Showcase in New Orleans
Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 1! The showcase is open to unsigned and uncommitted high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Registration will open February 8. Check back to the AVCA Web site for more details.

TEAM RED SWEEPS TEAM WHITE IN UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICA MATCH (12/20/09)
Team Red, led by Penn State signee Maddie Martin from Plant High School in Tampa, swept Team White, 25-21, 25-20, 25-20 to win the 2009 Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match held Sunday, December 21 at the St. Pete Times Forum.

NFHS Certification Program
The Fundamentals of Coaching Volleyball course was developed in partnership with USA Volleyball (USAV). The course is endorsed by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). It provides a unique student-centered curriculum on essential volleyball coaching techniques and methods for interscholastic teacher/coaches. Olympian Kevin Barnett and Dietre Collins-Parker host the online course and present the material to the coach. Skills videos and printable materials are readily available to the coach the Resources section of the course. Recruit your Middle School Coaches!
The AVCA is now offering membership to middle school volleyball coaches for $35! AVCA Member High School coaches can sign up the middle school coaches of their feeder schools at this significantly reduced membership rate!
