Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association's Poll Receives Great Coverage
One of the KVCA's biggest successes of the past year was its Top 25 Poll and Top 5 Regional Polls that publicized teams around the state. Recently, the KVCA's hard work was validated as the No. 1 ranked Assumption confirmed their new ranking by defeating No. 2 ranked Mercy. Click here for the full story and KVCA poll coverage.

CDC Guidance for Responses to Influenza for Institutions of Higher Education during the 2009-2010 Academic Year
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a release aimed at institutions of higher education focusing on guidelines to prevent and treat the H1N1 influenza, or swine flu. Among the specific student populations cited for consideration are sports teams because of the many hours they spend together in close quarters.

AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase @ AVCA Annual Convention
The AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase at the AVCA Annual Convention is a recruiting event developed for coaches attending that AVCA Convention. The AVCA Girls' Talent Showcase @ AVCA Convention will be held from 9 am - Noon on Sunday, December 20 in the West Hall of the Tampa Convention Center. 2010 Thirty Under 30 Awards Nominations Open
The AVCA is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Thirty Under 30 Awards. In its second year, this award was created to honor thrity of the up-and-coming volleyball coaches under 30 years old in the sport at all levels of the game. Nominees must be younger than 30 years old in 2010. To begin a nomination, click here. The AVCA will accept online nominations through Friday, October 2 @ 5:00 pm (ET).
Recruit your Middle School Coaches!
The AVCA is now offering membership to middle school volleyball coaches for $35! AVCA Member High School coaches can sign up the middle school coaches of their feeder schools at this significantly reduced membership rate!
