Convention Schedule SignsCoaching education, networking, volleyball and fun will all be part of a full and productive convention week in Kansas City. Kick-off your convention week on Wednesday at the pre-convention seminar. USC Head Coach Mick Haley, Dr. Mike Voight and Dr. Jill McNitt-Gray will lead the session, "Training Matters: Developing and Implementing a Mental, Physical and Team Toughness Training Program to Build a Championship Level Team." Also on Wednesday the inaugural AVCA Networking Luncheon & Bowling Tournament will take place at Lucky Strike Lanes. Enjoy networking with your coaching peers with an all-you-can eat buffet lunch and all-you-can drink beer, wine and soft drinks while bowling with your team and competing for prizes.  End the day on the blackjack or poker tables at the Opening Night Reception featuring casino night.

On Thursday it's time to honor your coaching peers at the jostens Coaches Honors Luncheon. Be there to recognize the Coach of the Year winners and Hall of Fame inductees. The convention educational seminars get going in full force so come ready to learn and take advantage of the opportunity to make yourself a better coach and leader. Be sure and make time to visit the vendors in Volleyball Marketplace. The marketplace opens on Thursday afternoon and over 100 vendors will be on hand to show you the latest products and services in the sport. Finally, you'll want to watch the best teams in college volleyball as the NCAA semifinal matches will be held in the Sprint Center.

The best college volleyball players in the country are honored on Friday at the AVCA All-America/Players of the Year Banquet presented by Zamst. Celebrate the best in the sport while networking with your coaching peers at one of the convention's signature events. Immediately after the banquet the fun shifts to the Spalding Reception and Coaches Tournament in Volleyball Marketplace. Watch your peers relive the glory of their playing days or spend time visiting with vendors on the show floor. If you need a last minute gift for the holidays don't forget the silent auction in the center of Volleyball Marketplace. Finish the day showing off your dance moves at the Nfinity 80's Party or by testing your poker skills in the third annual Texas Hold'em Tournament & Party.

Coaching education highlights the schedule on Saturday as nearly thirty classroom, on-court and sand seminars are available to choose from. No matter which level you coach the AVCA has sessions developed specially for you. Make your way over to Municipal Auditorium on Saturday afternoon and watch the best 24 senior high school girls' volleyball players in the country at the Under Armour® All-America Volleyball Match and Skills Competition. This is a great opportunity to see the future stars of the sport. The Heart of America/AVCA Holiday Tournament is back for its second year and will include approximately 60 teams. Coaches attending the AVCA convention are admitted free so take advantage of this recruiting opportunity. Cap your night off in the Sprint Center and see which team will win the 2010 NCAA National Championship.

On Sunday morning college coaches won't want to miss the AVCA Fall Girls' Talent Showcase. This is a recruiting event for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors as well as junior college players. Coaches are encouraged to make their flights home on Sunday afternoon and take advantage of this recruiting event.
