2013 Coaches 4 Coaches Fundraiser:
This year, the AVCA needs to raise $2,500 in order to fund the Coaches 4 Coaches scholarship. To accomplish this goal, AVCA Executive Director, Kathy DeBoer, has agreed to rappel off the Lexington Financial Center in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The event is schedule to take place on September 25, but Kathy will only participate if the full $2,500 is raised.
Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship:
The Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship provides eight future volleyball coaches the opportunity to attend the AVCA Convention and explore the countless networking and educational opportunities that are made available to them. This is a unique experience and one in which the recipients will develop professional skills as well as learn about becoming a better coach and leader.
Eligible applicants must be active AVCA members who are attending their first AVCA Convention. Applications for the scholarship are to be sent to the AVCA office and a selection committee will choose the eight recipients based upon academics, contributions to the sport of volleyball on and off the court, a professional letter of recommendation, and a personal written submission outlining their desire to attend the AVCA Annual Convention and their aspirations in coaching.
The AVCA is currently accepting applications for the scholarship. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 11. Please download the file below and send a completed version to the address listed on the application.
