The College of Wooster
AVCA: Who or what has made you want to pursue coaching?
Kelley Johnson: Athletics have influenced my life in various ways, molding me into the person I am today. All of my coaches (from youth sports to collegiate athletics) have taught me skills and lessons relevant not only to the sport, but also to other areas of life. Coaching would allow me to impact future student-athletes' lives helping them grow and develop, just as my mentors in athletics have done for me.
AVCA: Who or what has been your biggest coaching influence?
KJ: When coaches are able to motivate his or her team, on a daily basis, to be the best athletes and people they can be-those are the coaches who have had the biggest influence on me.
AVCA: Please list your past and present coaching/playing experiences:
- The College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio) - Assistant Volleyball Coach (Present)
- The College of Wooster - Varsity Volleyball, 4-year letter winner and starting libero, co-captain for 3 years
- Junior Olympic Volleyball Coach (Kidron Volleyball Club) - coached a 14s team during the spring of 2012 and a 15s team during the spring of 2013
