AVCA: Who or what has made you want to pursue coaching?

Craig Boller: My love for the sport and my coach Dan Friend. I was a film rat and my coach and I would always game plan about the upcoming game. When I was getting towards the end of my playing career, he told me I should get into coaching and give it a try. Also Gerard Weik gave me my first coaching job so he was a big part giving me my first steps.

AVCA: Who or what has been your biggest coaching influence?

CB: I don't have one coach, I think since I have played for so many teams and coached with a lot of coaches, most of my coaches have made a big impact on my coaching influence. Dave Bayar(my first club coach), Adam Beck(17's club coach), Dan Friend(Coach at Lewis University), Gerard Weik(Coach at Lewis University), Nadia Edwards(Head Coach of DePaul University), Maria Zidek(Assistant at DePaul University), and then Mark Rosen, Leisa Rosen, and Erin Virtue(the entire University of Michigan staff).
