Sam's 2009 AVCA Convention Experience
AVCA: Who or what has made you want to pursue coaching?
Samantha: I have had the good fortune to play for several excellent coaches from an early age. These coaches instilled in me a strong desire to coach. Over the years, I have developed a strong love for the game and I want to see the sport continue to grow.
AVCA: Who or what has been your biggest coaching influence?
Samantha: I have always loved the sport and feel it is the ultimate team sport. As a setter, I have had to understand every role on the court and interact with my coaches on every play. As a coach, I would be able to use what they have taught me and my knowledge of the game to teach each of my players how to win and be successful in life.
AVCA: What are you most looking forward to at the 2009 AVCA Annual Convention?
Samantha: I am looknig forward to meeting coaches from other programs and the knowledge I will gain from the different seminars I will be able to attend. I am also looking forward to being around the excitement of the final four.
