Workshop Scholarship Application | Returning Attendee Registration

Per NCAA Grant requirements, eligible attendees must be minority women intent on pursuing volleyball coaching at an NCAA institution as a head or assistant coach.  Workshop attendees do not need to currently hold such a position, but must aspire to enter the NCAA collegiate coaching field. In addition, participants must be a first-time attendee of the convention workshop. Previous workshop attendees are welcome to attend but are not eligible for the scholarship. The grant will cover the airfare and hotel expenses for ten (10) first-time workshop attendees up to $800. Registration for the workshop and convention are also covered by the grant but attendees would need to purchase match tickets if desired. Prime candidates for this program are college seniors, high school and club coaches looking for college jobs, DII, DIII, NAIA and junior college assistants willing to move to head coaching positions, and DI second assistant and graduate assistants. Minority men are a secondary target for this program.

Coaches interested in applying for a scholarship should click on the "Workshop Scholarship Application" link above. Please complete the application and return it to AVCA Headquarters by the deadline indicated. The AVCA will contact all applicants prior to the early registration discount deadline to inform you of the application status. If your application is chosen for a scholarship you will receive instructions on how to register for the convention.

Returning attendees who would like to participate in the workshop activities should click on the "Returning Attendee Registration" link above. Participants should first register for the convention through the regular online or printed registration process. Returning attendees should then complete the printed workshop registration form and return to the AVCA by the deadline indicated. Completing this form will help the AVCA compile accurate numbers when planning seating for the sessions.
