The Class of 2026 was recognized at a private reception on April 21 at the NCHSAA office\, with the official induction ceremony scheduled for August 15 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro. \n  \n\nNCHSAA Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2026\nCHAPEL HILL (March 18\, 2026) — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2026\, recognizing eight individuals whose impact has shaped high school athletics across the state: Michael Baker\, Zoe Bell\, Patty Evers\, Greg Frey\, Vicki Hamilton\, Beecher “B.W.” Holt\, Leonardo “Leo” Lockhart\, and Bobby Reynolds. \nThese honorees represent decades of service as coaches\, administrators\, officials\, and advocates for student-athletes. Their accomplishments include state championships\, national coaching honors\, and a lifelong commitment to mentorship\, sportsmanship\, and community leadership. \n\nZoe Bell | Charlotte\nZoe Bell built one of the most successful volleyball programs in North Carolina history during her tenure at Providence and Ardrey Kell High Schools. She compiled an outstanding 841–241 career record\, capturing five state championships and 16 conference titles\, while also contributing as a softball coach at Providence. \nA trailblazer for the sport\, Bell is the founder and president of the North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) and was named the 2018 AVCA National Coach of the Year. \nCoach Bell’s impact extends far beyond wins and championships—her leadership\, advocacy\, and dedication to growing the game have helped elevate volleyball across North Carolina. DESCRIPTION:Connecting top junior boys athletes with collegiate volleyball programs\nCoaches \nThe AVCA Boys’ Talent Showcase is a recruiting event developed for men’s team college coaches attending the AVCA Convention. The event is open to uncommitted and unsigned high school and two-year college boys volleyball players. The talent showcase will be held from 9:00 – 11:00am on Saturday\, December 19 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio\, TX. Please note there will be one waive of players and the AVCA expects approximately 70 – 80 kids to participate. \nBoys Showcase Participants\nThe 2026 AVCA Boys Showcase will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio\, TX on Saturday\, December 19.  The cost $99 per athlete prior to Friday\, November 20. Athletes that choose to register will: \n\nparticipate in the talent showcase\nreceive some insight into the collegiate recruiting process and tips to improve their visibility\n\nFor an additional $25\, athletes can take part in the AVCA Boys Showcase Clinic in the evening on Friday\, December 18 at the convention center. Registered athletes will have a chance to learn and develop their skills with the guidance of elite men’s college coaches from across the country. This a terrific opportunity to get better and prepare for the main event on Sunday.
