The AVCA is proud to announce its 42nd annual All-America teams for NCAA Division II women’s volleyball.
The 2023 class includes 42 players—14 on the first, second, and third teams—from 28 schools. Missouri-St. Louis, Tampa, and Wayne State (Neb.) each had two players on the first team. Those three schools, as well as Concordia-St. Paul and Regis, placed three players on the first three teams. There were an additional 106 players named honorable mention.
Three players become their school’s first-ever AVCA Division II All-Americans: Jazmyn Wheeler of Augusta (2nd team), Ajack Malual of Chaminade (3rd team), and Alice Pavan from Quincy (3rd team).
The 2023 All-America selections were made by the AVCA Division II All-America Committee: Chuck Waddington of Angelo State, Chris Herron of Washburn, Laurie Lokash of Slippery Rock, Mika Robinson of Rollins, Jonathan Scott of Point Loma, Brian Smith of Molloy, Loralee Smith of Lewis, and Mike Smith of Mars Hill.
Player of the Year: Kenzie Foley, St. Cloud State
Freshman of the Year: Leilani Ama, Chaminade University
Coach of the Year: Scott Kneifl, Wayne State University (NE)
Assistant Coach of the Year: Brian Imperiale, University of Tampa
