The AVCA is proud to announce the 19th annual AVCA Girls High School All-America Teams. A total of 1,762 nominations were submitted to the AVCA and MaxPreps, and 121 players were named to the All-America Teams, with another 120 being Honorable Mention All-America selections.
In case you missed it, 1,700+ Senior athletes also received the AVCA Best and Brightest Award 719 were named to the AVCA All-Region teams.
This year, the AVCA All-America nomination process received two major updates. For the first time ever, All-America nominations were opened up to underclassmen, and the AVCA opened its own player stats portal–which made the MaxPreps stats submission portion of the process optional for coaches. The 2024 requirements for nomination were that the student-athlete had played in at least 50% of her team’s sets, and that her AVCA member high school head coach had submitted a nomination and stats for her through the AVCA website.
The AVCA Girls High School All-America Committee Chairs are as follows: Region 1: Gary Bynon, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School; Region 2: Jason Monjes, Glenelg High School; Region 3: Alexis Glover, Wando High School; Region 4: Terri Wade, The Woodlands High School; Region 5: Max Miller, Dublin Coffman High School; Region 6: David Harris, Helias High School; Region 7: Mike Brandon, Gretna East High School; Region 8: Nancy Dorsey, St. James Academy; Region 9: Jess Papell, San Juan Hills High School; Region 10: Gary Steinfort, Eagle River High School.
