The AVCA is making a major addition to its high school awards offerings! This Fall, the AVCA will name the first-ever AVCA Girls High School Player of the Year, presented by Nike Volleyball.

Shared below, the inaugural AVCA Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List was selected by the AVCA Girls High School National Committee. The list is comprised of 24 players from 11 states. Four National Player of the Year Finalists will be announced on November 18, when the 2024 AVCA Girls High School All-America teams will also be revealed. For the first time, nominations for the AVCA High School All-America teams will be open to Freshmen through Juniors in high school, in addition to Senior athletes.

The 2024 AVCA Girls High School National Player of the Year will be announced on Friday, December 20, during the AVCA All-America Banquet in Louisville, KY. The four Player of the Year Finalists will be invited to attend and be celebrated at the banquet, as well as participate in additional activities onsite in Louisville.
